Loveless Icon Post

I've been making icons. Lots, and lots of icons with pretty anime. It helps that I downloaded lots and lots of pictures. Not quite the typical subject for my attempts at photoshop, but if you're interested in seeing the progression of my skills even if applied to something wildly different from Green Day, go ahead and click.

I snagged all the images from Yurusu.net. Use any of the icons you like, thought credit is good. Comments are much appreciated- I'll probably be making more batches and it would be nice to know which styles were most popular.

Thank you!

They look different and it's very interesting. I like it. Not snagging any, but nice.

Yeah these tended to get a bit busy visually (cluttered?). Not so sure if that's really good for an icon, but as you say, it's a different look. And fun to make, which is part of the point, no? Thanks for the comment!

Wow! They're so pretty! The angles and layers are gorgeous, and I love 2 and 3. Perfect proportion and separation of images. The colors of those two are nice too ^_^

Thank you so much! Thanks for the feedback. Those were some of my favorites, I feel the proportions worked best in those two as well.

Ah, layers and angles, layers and angles, little tiny 100x100 layers and angles... my eyes got grainy, man. ;)

I really like your ikon style. It's very different and original and vibrant --- sucks me into to them, y'know? Credit is yours and I snagged:

2 3 4 6 7 8 10 12

Thank you so much! I was going for icons with a sense of action and movement. Glad you liked. Thanks for the comment!

How beautiful!

You even managed to make one of the loveless images i never really liked into a very pretty icon 0.0 (i'm talking about the soubi one used in #11)

My fave was #2 ^^ but i took a bunch.

Very high quality. Keep it up!

Thank'ee. And I know what you mean. That Soubi pic was difficult to work with, it's kinda... angle-ly, or something. But hey, still Soubi. And glasses! I like the ones with his glasses. Also when his hair's up in that kinda half pony tail... okay I need to stop.

Thanks for the comment. Much appreciated :)

Yah! XD Soubi and glasses is LOOVE

Soubi and ponytail is... is SO much love it's even hard to talk about it! =D~~~ <---(Drooling uncontrollably)

Don't you adore fangirling like that sometimes? hee-hee

Your icons stand out. They show your knowledge of photoshop and very good composition skills. I really like what you did, since i'm an artist myself but cannot work like that in digital media (I suck a bit with photoshop cuz i'm completely out of practice, and i can't use illustrator, painter, or flash at all ;_;).

Congrats, i hope to see more of your stuff when you post it! :3

Adore fangirling like that SOMETIMES? How about, uh, all the time ;)

That's cool you're an artist. I can't really draw the old fashioned way, and photoshop's the only digital media I have any skill in at all. I wish I had a foundation in pen-and-paper art- photoshop's fun, but for me it's just messing around and figuring out cool things I can do with other people's art, whereas when you create images from scratch it's so much more your own, y'know? Though I suppose there's ways to do that on photoshop as well.. maybe someday, as the ol' skillz progress... :P

BAH these are freakin' gorgeous~~!! ♥♥♥ Taking quite a few, will credit when in use. ^^ Great job.

Awww, thank'ee! Appreciate the comment ~~

snagged #2 & 6, will credit if used. I love your style, and I probably would have grabbed more if they were textless, or just slightly less cluttered.
Oct. 13th, 2006 04:27 am (UTC)
Textless, eh? That could be arranged...

I know what you mean about the clutter. These were pretty much, "photoshop weeeeeee!" They got a bit overloaded. The busy-ness might also be because I'm used to making desktops, so I want to stuff all these things in... eh I dunno.

That being said, I'm pretty happy with most of these icons. The ones you took were perhaps my fav. I really like that purple pic of Ritsuka, with the black and white in the background... I guess that's why I used it twice.

Anyway thanks for the comment. Feedback much appreciated :)
